So far I have had my first phone interview. I have learned about the organization he has worked for and have done some research on the 3 places he has been. They are all very different, Ethiopia, Nepal and Vietnam. I found that he did not know much about the regions he has visited because he was not their very long and was really pretty much working in the hospital the whole time. He has a personal website with something like a daily journal of the three places and I read all of those so I feel like I did not learn that much from our interview, but maybe i was just asking the wrong questions.
Emily in all seriousness now have you tried asking your person questions like "What was your most memorable experience in Ethiopia..ect?". Maybe since he doesn't provide you with much information about the areas you can ask him personal level. What inspired him to do this volunteer work and why he continues to do so.
